• Limitations : o Progression to two insulin injections a day in combination with antihyperglycemic agents. o Check glucose at least two to three times daily: FBG, prior to bolus insulin administration, and two-hours postprandial or before next meal. o Must keep carbohydrate consistent at prandial insulin meal or learn carbohydrate counting to increase flexibility in meal choices and doses.
